Top 5 beauty hacks for the office

Währendessen ich mir gerade meinen Lieblings-lip-bald von Carmex auftrage kam mir ein Geistesblitz: Was sind meine besten Beauty-tipps die unseren girlboss-glow unterstützen? Sie sollen vielseitig sein, klein und langanhaltend und auf keinen Fall zu kompliziert und zeitraubend.

Da nicht nur gerade in meiner Hand sondern mein everyday-Begleiter, besonders im Winter, der Carmex Lipbalm. Ich mag das er auf den Lippen etwas prickelt, er verleiht einen schönen gepflegten aber dezenten Glanz. Persönlich bevorzuge ich das kleine Töpfchen, es gibt Carmex aber auch als Stift oder Tube und mit verschiedenen Geschmäckern, falls gewünscht.

Bleiben wir bei Pflege und Feuchtigkeit: für mich gehört es dazu perfekt gepflegte Hände zu haben. Besonders in Meetings oder bei einem Business-Lunch sollten Hände nicht vergessen werden. Mein to-go tip für einen schnellen frisch manikürten Look, neben gepflegten Nägeln, ist Nagelöl. Es gibt viele verschiedene. Toll finde ich das von Dr.Hauschka.

Kein schneller beauty-hack aber trotzdem in meinen Top 5 ist die Extreme Mascara von Tom Ford. Kein krümeln, intesive und langanhaltende Farbintensivität. Alles was man sich von einer Mascara wünscht. Sie hat ihren Preis der aber für mich definitiv gerechtfertigt ist.

Wie schon im teaser erwähnt möchten wir alle einen tollen Glow. Gerade im Geschäftsleben sollte er nicht zu aufdringlich sein. Seit Sommer teste ich das Contour’n Strobe kit von GOSH in der Farbe 001. Grundsätzlich muss ich gestehen, dass ich kein grosser Fan bin von Contouring & Co. aber dieses Kit hat es mir angetan. Es ist vielseitig und kann überall mit genommen werden. Ich nutze den eher dezenten Highlighter um frischer zu wirken, den Blush auch mal gerne als Lidschatten und die hellere Contour-Farbe als Blush. Alles in allem ein toller Allrounder.

Kommen wir zu meinem letzen Beauty-tipp: keine Neuheit aber bewährt. Ein weisser Kajal in der unteren Wasserlinie des Auges lässt einen gleich frischer wirken und vergrössert optisch das Auge. Der Stift lässt sich zudem super in jede Tasche oder Schreibtischschublade verstauen.

While I’m pampering my lips with the Carmex lip-pot, a flash of inspiration came to mind: having 5 quick, efficient and easy-to-go beauty-products for the office is what every #bosswoman longs for and so I made my research on my own desk and moreover.

Especially during my work, I need some quick beauty-helpers which are multi-functional and bring right away the perfect discreet business-glow.

I’m mentioning directly my all-time favorite, the Carmex lip balm. I love it! It makes crusted lips smooth in seconds also it has a little shine and your lips look always moisturized and well-tended. Also a good companion for flights. Personally, I prefer the small pot but there also chapsticks or tubes available.

Let’s continue with moisturizing: cuticle-oil. To be honest, I’m not a big fan of hand cremes, except the Chanel Le Lift. But a much better solution for perfectly manicured hands/nails is a good cuticle-oil for me. I think it is very important to have well-manicured hands and can be done quickly for every meeting.

A good mascara. Well, that is maybe something you don’t have to keep in your desk drawer if it’s the right one. Because I’ve found my perfect mascara, and keep in mind mascara is a very personal thing, I’m suggesting this one for you to try. The Tom Ford Extreme Mascara. I love the formula and the intense black color. It lasts all day long without looking crumbly at all. It has definitely its price but I think it’s all worth it!

As I mentioned in my teaser already, a glow-product should not be missed. Since Summer I’m testing the GOSH contour’n strobe kit*. I must admit that I was never a highlighter girl but since I’m using it I’m pretty into it. Although, I’m using it not as may be suggested because I’m not into contouring but I think it is a very versatile product. The highlight I use as described HIGHLIGHT. The blush I divert from being a blush and use it as an eye-shadow and the lighter contour as blush. I’m thrilled about this product.

Last but not least, a simple white kohl pencil. As everybody knows a white eye-liner used in your under waterline of your eye makes it so much brighter and open. It vivids right away and makes your eye optically bigger. I always have one with me to reapply.
